Hi guys! On monday i will have my braces fitted after waiting five long years saving the money.
I have a small overbite, crowding, and an unexistant bite. My front teeth are bended inward.
Did any of you noticed a big difference on the shape of your lips and how your mouth look when you smile after the treatment?
Did you had any asymmetry in the face that did disappear after wearing braces?
Any change in the appearance of cheeks/cheekbones?
I'm going throught all of this because i have a horrible smile and a big face asymmetry and i hope it will help.
Did your face change after braces?

Re: Did your face change after braces?
I think so, I think my face is more symmetrical now. I think I had a forced bite which caused me to slightly move my jaw left to bite. I am less pleased with the way my lips and philtrum look however: my philtrum looks longer and more convex and my upper lip looks smaller and more pointed downwards, my lower lip seems to protrude more downwards too and looks bigger. I hope this is just temporary because I am still in braces. I had a slight class II2 with a slight deep bite and crowding and an omega shaped dental arch. I hope my front teeth have been over-protruded to make space for my premolars and canines to expand

I believe it can be only temporary, is impossible to judge this small changes before ending the treatment!
(ps: i hope the leghtening of the philtrum is not a commong thing when treating the class II. My one is already annoyingly long!!)
thanks for your answer ((:
