Anyone here who had low lip line and upper jaw advancement? Jaw surgery to show more teeth

#1 Post by Nellyfizzle »

Hi all I'm 26 and finally getting bracers before my upper jaw advancement surgery. They will most likely be pushing my jaw down (as you can't see my teeth when I speak) and forward (I had an underbite when I was very little). Have any of you had this particular procedure done?

Will this give me better cheek bones? I'm hoping so as my face feels very heavy (I already have a fat face that literally feels like it's falling off my skull, it feels heavy and makes me look tired and I think that's also why you can't see my upper teeth when I speak). It has made speaking very uncomfortable and made me very self conscious...

Also, I have a flat nasal bridge and wide nostrils. What has been your experience with this procedure regarding your nose? Does stitching the nostrils really help and is this good for long term? Or would it be best to have surgery post lefort op?
