Hi! Has the pain eased up for you? I'm day two and popping Advil/Tylenol like crazy too.
Hi! I actually just posted on your thread just now, haha. The pain was absolutely nuts for the first four days. Then it started to get better little by little, and about 2 weeks out I felt pretty much fully adjusted to my braces. I, however, am not looking forward to my next adjustment a week from now. Did anybody who had a painful first few days have less pain after an adjustment??

Also, a REALLY significant change I've noticed (now three weeks in) is my bite - I have a crossbite where my lower jaw shifts too much to the left, but it has now shifted a lot and the midlines are pretty much matched up. This is crazy considering I haven't had elastics or anything yet. I also had two brackets open up. I don't know for how long they were open before I noticed, but I'm hoping it won't affect my treatment.

That's exciting you're noticing changes already! Did the wire pop out or just open up? You didn't have to waIt long between adjustments hey.. my first ones at the end of May!!! :(

Hope you don't have too much discomfort after your adjustment!

I have no idea what happened to the wires - I didn't even notice until I was examining my teeth closely one night.
I just came back from my first adjustment, and it went pretty well! The bottom wire was kept in but the top was changed from a .14 NiTi to .16. So far, I'm feeling pretty good. No pain except the pain I woke up with this morning in one canine. I think the first part is pretty slow, so I wouldn't worry too much about waiting too long between adjustments! I probably could have gone a few more weeks, but they changed the top wire kind of as an intermediate phase before rectangular wires.
