Help!!! Lower Expander just came out!!!

Help!!!!! My expander just popped out!! ok... well it didnt exaclty pop out by itself. it has been loose for a few days but i thought it was ok and i was playing w/ it a little rougher than usual and it came completely off on one side!! a week or two ago the part that holds the wire to the band (the band attatched to my lower expander) came off on one side. i think the only thing holding it in on the other side is the archwire.

help!

Well... If I were you, I... I would just call the ortho's office. They'll either tell you not to worry because it's nothing serious, or (more probably) make an extra appointment for you. Anyway, calling your ortho will surely make you less nervous

I actually just had this happen to me a couple of days ago. My lower expander popped out on one side, but remained attached on the other side. I called my ortho and they got me in the first thing the next morning. However, my ortho is on holidays, so the assistant put the expander back in it's place--and now my teeth are hurting like crazy! Who knows what she did!
