No improvement ?

No improvement ?

Hi,

My teeth moved a lot at first, even faster than I thought they could.

On Day 68, I got a thicker wires. So, I was expecting similar improvement with thicker wire but I don't see any improvement at all since then. My narrow arches are getting wider but my crooked front teeth look the same.

Got another new wires on Day 115.
Now it's Day 134 and my front still looks almost the same as it did on Day 66, like it didn't move at all. Is this normal ? What do you think ? I'm planning to get bicuspid extraction done next month and I'm worried that the gap would take a lot longer to close than normal people at this rate :'(

So what does your teeth look like now?
Braced: April 07, 2017
Debraced: February 08, 2019
Sentence: 18-24 months
Actual time in braces: 22 months and 1 day
Reason: Straighten teeth, correct crossbite and edge-to-edge bite

Photo "Day 66" is how my teeth look like right now.

Well to me it looks like your day 66 is very straight already. Your ortho could be "fine tuning" what your teeth look like right now.

Significant movement is easier to see; and usually takes less time. But, finalizing and finishing are the most important phase of treatment, and can take a long time.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

That's because it's taken from the front. From side view, the upper right central is still 2mm behind the left one.
Yes, may be i should be more patient. I'm such a worry wart. Thanks for your reply.
