I am 55 and got my top braces on in February 2017, Bottom braces in May. So six months into it and now wearing class II elastics. I can say it's been an interesting road so far but I still have 18 months to go. I have had to make many adjustments especially in my diet but nothing that I cannot live with. Cheers to all of us old gals who went for it :)

Got my braces on after my 20th birthday, due to peer pressure and my future career. Won't look nice for a doctor to have less than perfect teeth

I think I had the first set with rubber bands at about 13-14 - they didn't adress the actual problem which was a narrow upper jaw. If only they had used an expander. Now I'm nearly 40 and have undergone SARPE.

Quad Helix put in on Thursday. Thought the spacers hurt more, but no, this thing hurts. First night I slept with a wad of paper towel in my mouth to protect my tongue. Last night I cut a tongue shaped piece of bubble wrap and placed on top. That worked better and produced less saliva. I am getting invisalign after this comes off. Has anyone had any chirodontic adjustments to their face/head. My head feels like it is on sideways.

Im getting my braces at the age of 26. I'm surprised at the amount of people in the 22-29 age range.
