Free at last, free at last

I got my braces off last week after 3 years. I started this journey due to awful TMJD pain. Turned out it was a result of a unilateral posterior cross bite which you can see in the first picture , taken about halfway through my treatment. The second picture is just after I got them off, no more cross bite and no more TMJD pain. I could not be happier, it was worth all the time and effort. I should have taken care of the problem years ago, but it's wonderful to have it fixed now.

Lower braces on March 11, 2015, upper braces added July 14, 2015.
Damon, metal bottom / clear top.
Braces off March 26, 2018: Total time in braces: 3 years, 2 weeks and 1 day.
Hawley retainers top and bottom.

Congratulations! Your after picture looks amazing. What a great result -- I can see why you are pleased! :D

Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

Wow!!!!! Congratulations! They look incredible! You must be so pleased. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but they look good enough to do toothpaste and mouthwash commercials!

I'm pretty happy with my result but I think I'd die from excitement if I had yours.

Please take care of them, follow all of the instructions on retaining to the letter, and just constantly smile wherever you go.

Thank you everyone! It was a long road, but it was definitely worth the time an effort, I am quite happy with the end result.
