How far did your front teeth come back?

Nearly 8 millimeters in both jaws.

Did you have Tads? Because it's nearly impossible to have the front come back 8 mm, it's just physics, the rears will come forward 2-3 mm

In fact, that were the gaps to close which measured 8 millimeters. But the difference in your soft tissues is around 3 millimeters which is enough to change your side profile. No I didn't have Tads.

Hi lovespain! Did your face face sag and have skeletal face during braces? I so confused. My face is different now.. im wearung braces for almost 6 months and im so depressed to what happen to my face.. sorry for my bad english. Hope you reply.

One year after debanding : all is ok.
My lips and my mouth are still perfectly competent.
My face hadn't become thinner at all.
I am definitely very happy with the results and I don't regret at all to have chosen the extraction route.

My face didnt become tiny or skeletal at all after treatment. I used to have full cheeks before braces and after debracing they become even fuller. Maybe because I have a smaller arch now. And look at my before/after profile photos to see also the beneficial changes. Are you Caucasian? Black? Asian? Thank you and good luck with your treatment!

In fact, facial proportions tend to change slightly when your teeth are retracted. Your soft tissues are moving as your teeth go back. I've found a very interesting article whereas I was in treatment about how premolar extractions can transform your face. I'll give the link in this thread if I'm able to find it. Can you put here a photo of your profile please? I wonder if your disappointment is caused by a bad result or only because you find "strange" your facial changes.

Hi! I don't know if anyone is still on this thread but I was wondering if anyone with good experiences with extraction send me some of their before and after photos? I'm new to this forum as I'm trying to find some relief over my stress for just getting my bicuspids removed. I wrote about it here:

Incorrect. The ones looking to reverse extractions are rare. Most people who have extractions simply get on with their lives, unhappy people are more likely to write about their negative experiences online.
