Can I ignore this when having braces? PLEASE HELP!!
Hello, so I recently just got my bottom braces after a year of top braces. I found out that when I bite down my front teeth would hit my bottom braces. Is this normal? because I have a overbite and CAN I IGNORE THIS? Would it cause damage to my teeth? PLEASE ANSWER!

No, that should not happen as you can break off a bracket. Your orthodontist should have installed bite blockers to keep your top teeth from coming down and hitting your bottom brackets. Call the ortho's office and explain. I suspect they'll have you come back in to get some bite blockers installed.
Note: I don't have an overbite but have learned the above from extensive reading of this forum, so I think it is correct, but do consult your ortho asap.

Thats the problem... I went to my ortho 3 days ago and they put on those fillings that keeps me not biting down fully. Those fillings came off on the same day. What do I do? Do I go back to my ortho:?

You definitely should call the office and tell them about it. It's not normal for those to just fall off on the same day. I myself got a bite plane on the front to allow for extrusion of my molars, but it turned out to be a big mistake as it reverted completely while leaving me with TMJ problems.
Worse than ungluing a bottom bracket would be to chip or break a tooth, so don't delay that call...

Yes, go back to your ortho. That bite block is supposed to keep your upper teeth from biting into the lower brackets which can knock the brackets off and or chip your teeth.CaptainSmith123 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 8:43 am Thats the problem... Well I hate to admit it, but I did ignore it once. Not my smartest decision ever lol. I bit the bracket off in my sleep. Luckily, it is a bracket that is on a back molar that is not engaged in the wire, so they said they will just replace it at my next adjustment in September. I wouldn't leave it. Go back and get the blockers put back on. The blockers shouldn't come off like that. I had blockers for 8 weeks or so at the beginning of treatment (which shouldn't have been removed obviously because I was still hitting bracket) and they made it through all my clenching and grinding at night. Good luck!

Do you still have this problem?

My teeth hitting brackets? Currently no. It was just the 1 back molar that was an issue for me (which didn't have the wire through it anyway), so since there isn't a bracket on it right now, nothing is hitting. Hopefully you can get in to see your orthodontist and have it resolved.

I'm Screwed... I cannot go back to the ortho because they are on vacation until August. I will be away until September.. I hope this won't affect my teeth..

I'd press them to see what sort of coverage they have arranged while they are out of the office -- where do patients go for bona fide emergencies / urgent problems? I would imagine that they have some sort of arrangement with another ortho, unless you are located in an extremely isolated area. I would not let it ride for two months. Best of luck to you.CaptainSmith123 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 8:36 am I'm Screwed... I cannot go back to the ortho because they are on vacation until August. I will be away until September.. Hello, i am in braces for a second time. I have bite turbos that make it so my teeth will not close when biting down so I do not break off my brackets. Orthodontist saw this right away and put them on. So now eating is a challenge since my teeth do not close together.. my bite turbos are on the top teeth look like pink fangs. Lol just more braces fun... been in braces for the second time 1 week today.

For me, I am going to have to get used to the biting down my braces... for now. I am praying that this won't have any consequences on my teeth later on.
