Different Teeth Hurting at Different Times?

#1 Post by cakers »

Is it normal for different teeth to hurt at different times? I got my braces just about two weeks ago. I had initial soreness and some teeth hurt a while longer than others. And then all my teeth felt mostly better and just one was sore, but that turned out to be from a hook digging into my gum. And now a tooth on the other side of my mouth hurts. What the heck?! Is the soreness just migrating around? Are my teeth still moving? I guess I thought the
movement was just right after they wire was placed/adjusted? This isn’t even a crooked-looking tooth. But it is a molar. Maybe it needed extra time to get the clue and start moving?

I’m having the same problem with teeth hurting! except my braces were put on almost 150 days ago . I’ve even had a hook stuck in my gum too. I’d love to see an answer to this, I’m starting to go crazy over it lol

Yes, completely normal. Fleeting pains, sensitivities, you name it. All part of the charm of orthodontics.
