Colors
Anyone think colored ligs would look unprofessional? I'm job hunting but I was cool colors. I thought about going with a standard blue, but I really want a brighter blue or bright green. Perhaps a checkered bright blue and green would be cool.
I don't think colors look unprofesssional, but if you're worried, what you might do, is get a "reserved" color for the top arch, and then alternated wild colors on the bottom arch where they're not as noticable.

I agree with IndyBraceFace. I think it's better to stay with "plain" colors... I'm not sure colored braces would be the best...especially during the time you hunt for a job...once you get a job play with colors but i do think that either clear, white, black, metal are best while in search...

Boring city. Perhaps I shouldn't even be asking. I do professional work, suit up everyday. Part of me says, play along. The other part of me says, I should just go with what's me. Let me personality shine through. Stand out among the other applicants In any event, I'm not willing to go with plain colors. I may sacrafice for blue. Oh how I want bright colors. Specially green.I agree with IndyBraceFace. I think it's better to stay with "plain" colors...

Probably a good idea, dissappointing though. For work I currently do unixy stuff. IT people do seem to get away with more of a relaxed dress code. Things are very laid back where I'm at now, it just the regional manager. In his 60's and very proper about everything. We can't just have a Christmas party, we have to have the black tie Christmas party. ( we have pay to )I dunno - maybe compromise by going for a colour you like, but at least sticking to just ONE colour at a time!?
Of course none of that means anything now. Work done gone to the east coast.

I can be very professional and diplomatic when need be.I'm sure it will be the same with job hunting ... if we're referring to truly professional people here ... and I think ALL people should have some level of professionalism ...
That thought had been rolling around in my mind as well. It may actually help me get into a place with a work environment I want to work in. I think sometimes it's good to let a little personality show through on an interview.then will they really be more interested in the almost invisable ligs around your almost invisable braces compared to finding out if you're the person they want to employ

missing_tooth I think that personality is definately what helps people get jobs. Here at my school we have a saying in the education department. It's IQ that helps with the job, but EQ is what garantees it. EQ is your emotional quotient. AKA your personality.
LEt yourself shine through. Sometimes people like to see something bold in the mix of the ordinary.
