Anyone else finding the metal bands around the molars making the tooth opposite from it sensitive? I've only had the molar bands (6 of them) on for a week, and I'm beginning to develope a very sensitive spot. I'm assuming the metal is grinding away at the enamel, but am not sure. Any suggestions as what to do about it? Thanks!
I posted almost the same question few days ago!
The pain when I bite down was soo intense I was sure it's from some well hidden cavity.... but it has completely stopped now, after 8 days in braces..so I guess it was from pressure...
If it starts again I'll tell my dentist to check it out closely...
Thanks all! I'm happy to report that the mysterious sensitivity/pain went away after a few days. It seems that as soon as one problem disappears, another is waiting in the wings to replace it. I know they really struggled to get the bands on, so I'm probably lucky that a couple days of sensitivity was all I had:!:
