last tray/not happy with the results

#1 Post by igdaw »

I've been on Invisalign since last march 2005,my lower teeth look great.but my upper aren't where i would like them to be or look.they don't match, not in the same position as the lower. My front teeth are still crooked. So my dentist told me at my last visit that i was done with my treatment.I told him i wasn't happy with the results, and he said if the teeth haven't moved where they should be then he is gonna take a mold again and order another tray but just for one tooth that isn't moving at all.
I want my upper to be nice and straight,i mean they looked pretty bad and crooked before Invisalign, but can i ask him that i want to continue my treatment and im really not happy with this smile.I paid $6500.

any advice :)

yes you can.
the invisalign fee, charged to the ortho (~$2000) covers one revision. ie repeat molds and additionla aligners.
that said sometimes the aligners just cant move the teeth, and unfortunatally some invisaligners end up in braces. myself included.
good luck
