Devil or Angel

#1 Post by cat352 »

I had my top brackets removed a few days ago,for my fathers wedding,I am nearing the end of my treatment I have 2 months left..My Ortho told me my bite is still 3mm off and to come back in for rebanding after I get back from the wedding..In dental terms how much is 3mm?Now that I've had a taste of freedom, I'm not sure I want to be locked up again..I'm happy with what I see,my teeth are perfectly straight... :Questions:
D3s full top and bottom, severe overbite with severe crowding on the bottom, and minor crowding on the top

Just because they "look" perfectly straight to you, doesn't mean they are done. If you are still 3mm away, they still have some moving to do in order to correct your bite. If you choose to not be re-banded, you risk more trouble in the future.

Time-frames are only a bare-minimum... I'd go back to the ortho if I was you.

ahh, freedom! What a wonderful thing :) Seriously, though....even though staying naked sounds appealing, if your teeth aren't ready to be 'fully exposed', than you have an even greater risk of relapse, which would just be a waste of time and money. Good luck :D
