I finally had "the dream"

#1 Post by nvcarissa »

I took a nap this afternoon...and it happened! Dreaded braces dream. In it I felt a pop and the wire and brackets on my bottom teeth popped off, leaving grossly rotten teeth behind.

I often have dreams about teeth! I normally dream that they're all falling out. I'll be playing about with one of my teeth and it comes away in my hand, or crumbles to pieces. Yuk! It's like a terror dream where you are left with a yawning black hole where your teeth were! ha ha

Oh I had The Dream(tm) as well, earlier on. I swear I would never have had it if it wasn't for this place, because I had no clue until coming here that brackets could fall off!

So far - touch wood - mine haven't fallen off. Except in that damn dream ;)

i had the "braces dream" too...

In that dream, the brackets fell and my teeth became loose... :?

But there's always a good explanation:
i went to the ortho for my first adjustment that day, and i was feeling some discomfort :)

This site is a God sent, I nearly freaked a week or so ago when I dreamed my brackets started popping off and my teeth along with them. It was like a domino effect! When I finally woke up, I couldn't help running my tongue across my brackets to make sure they were still there. LOL!

Wow! I had "The Dream" a couple of weeks ago and I had forgotten about it until I read this posting. In my dream, one bracket just fell off! I was unusually calm about it. I just pulled it on out and took it with me when I went back to the ortho! LOL If that happened in real life, I'd have a heart attack! I would SO overreact!

Hey I often dream about teeth too. Since my upper brace (well half of it) came off once, I’m constantly checking if everything is in place.
Today I dreamt that my whole brace had popped out!!! I was really scared… first thing I did was check everything out. I can’t wait until my teeth are done, hopefully I will calm down then.
Good luck,
Joe

I had a dream this morning that the archwire on both my top and bottom teeth started coming off. (Which, of course, is odd because I don't actually have my bottom teeth wired yet.)

Anyhow, brackets were falling off everywhere, the wire was coming out, and my two front teeth were literally ready to fall out. I pushed the archwire up against them to keep them in place.

Bizarre, eh?
