Hi there, Denise! I read through several of your most recent posts, just to try to catch up a bit. (I have a hard time keeping up with others' stories!!) and your last set of photos look great!

Congrats on your 15 year anniversary! My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary this June - I look forward to that number getting much bigger over time! You made me hungry when I read about your meal out... I'm such a sucker for food.

Oh, and who doesn't love Target? I spend way too much money there. I buy everything at Target, especially household stuff like cleaning supplies and small appliances and stuff. I can go through my house and point out tons of stuff that came from there -- my bedding, hangers, trash baskets, bathroom towels, even my toilet seat.... It's getting scary!

Back to the point of these forums... lol. I know what you mean about that icky wiggly feeling. I go in for adjustments every three weeks and so oftentimes at least some of my teeth feel slightly loose. I remember when I first had my braces put on three months ago, and as soon as my teeth started to loosen, I freaked out and called one of my friends who had had braces in the past to check and make sure this was normal. And it's never fun to feel that when you're trying to sleep.

Hoping things are well! Keep up the good work.

Wow, have you had a lot going on lately! :D

Sorry to hear your teeth are annoying you at night; that unstable feeling is really bothersome. I hope they tighten up soon, in their rightful places, of course! It's great that you are seeing more movement, and keep up with your chant! Hope your molar band re-cementing went well, I image that loose feeling along with jiggly teeth is making you very aware of what is happening in your mouth...

Congrats on your anniversary, and how great that you got so many compliments on your cheap-o dress!!! I (like most of us here) love Target as well - I go there over Wal-Mart all the time. And fruity drinks are always yummy, but they are best when you are sprawled out on a beach towel... maybe you need to hint to Danny for your 16th anniversary!

I checked out the link you put up of the pic of Gracie, and wow, is she a pretty dog! She looks so ready to just get out there and do her job; so poised. You must be soooo proud! I'm sure she didn't like her trip to the vet though... my dog shivers and shakes the whole time we are there - what a wuss!

Can't wait for new piccies!!!!

Another Target shopper here and 29 years married in November...

Denise, I had makeshift hooks on the back of my canines (the joy of lingual braces...) which were used to connect triangle elastics to my bottom (front) braces. They were a pain in the bum as I had to work blind to attach the elastic to them. In four months, I managed to break two. I was very pleased to see the back of them.

Denise your teeth are looking so pretty! You've made such great progress! I'm still jealous of your big "movie star" teeth  You are going to have such a dazzling smile when you are done.

P.S. I'm a Target ADDICT! It's bad if my mom and I go together. We can't get out of there without spending at least $100. About half my wardrobe consists of Target clothes (other half is Old Navy). They've got some of the cutest stuff. I love their bathing suits too. I own about 10  Shoes are a pretty dangerous area as well. If I didn't have such large feet (sometimes can get into a size 11, but it's usually a size 12 which they don't sell) I'd probably be in much bigger trouble.

Hi Denise,

Thanks for the pics! Ah, so I finally know what the infamous "black triangles" are. Actually I think I may have a few very small ones myself!

Your teeth are looking great.

Target??

Hey, I guess I'm like a lot of guys -- I don't like shopping PERIOD!!!!

Hi Denise!! Hope you had a great weekend.. I gotta say I agree w/Princess I'm totally jealous of your movie star teeth.. I've always wanted big teeth but that wasn't what I got dealt. haha

Did someone say Target........ hmmmmmmmmmm....... I might need to run over there today! haha It's kind of like a yawn. When you hear it you gotta do it! That store is so great.. I've bought a couple of dresses over there and got tons of compliments.

Hey Denise! Glad to know I'm not the only one that went missing for a while.. I was thinking the same thing about smiling the other day. I took the kids to Homecoming, which everyone should know is a HUGE deal in Texas. lol I was talking to some people and I realized I kept smiling.. and not a little half smile, a big whopping look at my shiny grill smile. haha I kind of started amusing myself.

Hope all is well!

It's fun going through pages of all the drama and excitement...

There should be like a fairytale "The Ending" with fairies and rainbows and stuff decorating this thread.

Happily Ever After with perfect teeth...while we all have to suffer! haha, just kidding, you went through the hell that I'm going through. :D

Hey Denise! Stopping by to check on you. Sorry you had an uneventful adjustment. I certainly had many of those in the beginning but I haven't had one in quite a while. Great that your son is almost done with his braces.

The effects of fall are slow coming as ever here in California. We are just starting to get temperatures in the high 60's. However we are still getting temperatures in the 80's. Yesterday it rained, today the high is 68 degrees, and by the weekend we are going to be back up in the 80's. I'm sure any out of state visitors are confused as ever :? I still have to keep my summer clothes available even in the middle of winter because we can still get rogue 80 degree temps thanks to the lovely Santa Ana winds. Hope you're fall is less confusing than mine

Congrats on making it to a year, Denise! Your teeth have come a long way and look really fantastic!

Sorry to hear your boys haven't been feeling well, hopefully the sickies are out of your house and you will be able to enjoy Turkey Day with the whole family!

Boy, your time out on the boat sounds wonderful - and your dinner sounds tasty. I haven't had any good seafood in a while.... you're lucky!

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! :-)o

I love seeing everyone's progress and reading everyone's wonderful story. Your teeth look amazing! I can relate to what you said about your husband saying he liked your teeth pre-braces. I've been told the same thing by friends, telling me that they thought my crooked teeth were "cute". Huh? :?: Of course all those people have perfect teeth!

In the end though I know I'm doing the best thing for me and I know it's the best thing for my teeth/mouth so I won't have more serious problems later. But it is good to be reminded that they liked me regardless of what I looked like!

Thank you for sharing your story. :-88
