Hello there!

I'm so happy you posted.
I have been looking for other musicians myself but it's actually not that common.

I'm a second year middle school band director/brass instructor for both middle and high school and let me tell you, braces really hindered my playing :(
Throughout school, my crooked teeth never bothered me because I loved playing trumpet so much, and was actually quite good at it.

After graduating and finding a job, I noticed that my confidence dropped way low because of my awful smile in a professional setting.

One day, I just woke up and got some braces.
Playing was horrible. I couldn't even make a decent sound 4 months in but I kept at it. I felt like a beginner all over again.

but after some time, I got my chops back.
Fast forward to a year later and I'm better than ever. It did take some time, and had to practice all of my brass instruments everyday.

Time will fly by man, just get it over with.
