Congrats on your new smile. That's what it's all about! :jump:
And I love your post--that you shared so honestly how you were feeling. That has to be an encouragement to others seeking and learning about this experience. We do (well, some of us - and I have been in the group at times) tend to get quite worked up before a visit to the chair. Look, though, your experience is all behind you! You did it! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.

You smile looks great! And you teeth look healthy. Congrats on finishing treatment!
All the best in the future with keeping your straight, healthy smile!
Thank you!! I wouldn't say any of it it "hurt", maybe a twinge or two with the stubborn brackets, and the cold air. But really nothing I couldn't get through - and I've got a very sensitive mouth; routine cleanings always hurt me. So others might not experience any pain during debanding.

Thank you! I wanted to be as honest as I could be (even if it is a bit embarrassing carrying on like that when I'm 43 ;) ) because I know when my debanding date was growing closer I kept searching for really good accounts of how the proccess went, but didn't find a whole lot out there that went into great detail. Especially of the mold process (which was what I was most anxious about). I would rather help someone else out - and truly, I if I made it through, I would gather almost anyone could! :)

They look great! Now was there some gum loss? Is this common? I noticed this on one in between of my teeth but wasn't sure if it was because there is a gap there now. Does the gun grow back on to the teeth?

I don't know if it's gum loss, or what, that causes the infamous "black triangles". I believe my ortho said it's more prevalent in adults, and I do not believe they will grow back (I'm hoping though!). Still, even with those, my teeth/mouth look SOOO much better than before.
