Always aware but you'll get used to them. Keep grinning

Also always aware, but mine are lingual so you kind of expect that.
I've only had them 3 weeks though, so I expect it'll get a bit better...

I'm always aware of them when I am talking to someone other than friends/family. Otherwise I don't feel them.

I'd have to say I was aware of my braces most of the time. Now with fixed lingual retainers I am never aware of the lowers, and only aware of he uppers when I'm not involved in anything. When I'm driving I'm always aware of them, never aware while talking.

I would say 50/50. I am really aware when I meet new people.

Honestly I have found that most people are not aware that I am wearing braces and no one seems to care. I look at it in a positive light. I am wearing braces but hey I am going to have an awesome smile so I really dont care anymore they have just become part of me.

Now I am mostly aware of them when I am smiling or laughing or when someone says 'oh you got braces'. In the beginning though I was obsessed with them, always looking at them checking for movement, was scared of smile, I guess I was a bit self conscious about them then...

I'm probably in the minority but I almost never think of my braces. I'm aware when I'm eating and brushing/flossing but other than that, I totally forget they are there. :) My pain has been very minimal luckily though so maybe that's why. I'm six months into my 24 month treatment.
