I ended up going for the water pik cordless. Tried it out for the first time today and spent a lot of it laughing as i got covered in water. Teeth felt amazing after tho. Dont have my braces yet, get them on the 6th october but thought I would get used to the water pik before they go on.

I have the water pick that comes with the water tank, but I wish I had gone cordless due to the counter space..I might do so when I need a new one

This is a useful topic, I'd meaning to look into Waterpiks but didn't even know wireless ones existed! Much more convenient.

I haven't needed one so badly yet because I only have my bottom brace so far and a (removable) biteplate, but I imagine cleaning will get much trickier when I get my top braces on in a few weeks!

I tried the Waterpik cordless last night and I wasn't massively impressed. Shame as I wanted to love it.

It's very messy and you can't see where you're using it as you need to keep your mouth fairly closed. Perhaps it'll grow on me when I've mastered using it....?

I think with experience you'll be able to guide the stream based on the sensation of the water on your gumline and teeth. I have tried a cordless as well and just was not that impressed either.
