After I got my top teeth done, the hygenist gave me a pouch that contained a toothbrush, some wax, a small envelope with two floss threaders, a roll of floss and a 10-pack of Superfloss

I totally live in the wrong country. I got a bottle of flouride mouthwash and 3 little packs of wax.
Oh, and a rather generic leaflet, and a brushing lesson.

My hygenist gives me mini tubes of toothpaste every time I go though.

I think I'd rather not get so much "free" stuff and know that what I'm paying is actually going on my treatment!

This is an old thread, but it was interesting to read. I've just got to say, wow! Some people received a lot!

I got a regular toothbrush, travel sized Crest toothpaste, a case of dental wax, a package of Superfloss, some normal floss, a case containing floss threaders, and proxy brushes.

My ortho is so expensive I was hoping to get some awesome stuff like some in this thread! I still got a decent goodie bag though

-Koozie with the ortho's logo

-ONE interdental brush!
-Travel toothpaste (my fave item so far, it tastes so good! if I didn't use rx toothpaste I would definitely buy this one. I think it is the pro health gum protection kind. Tastes like peppermint life savers.)
-Packet of floss threaders
-Piece of paper with instructions, diagrams of what the hardware is called (useful!), a short list of no-no foods, emergency info, etc.

Thanks to Archwired I had already bought a lot of items... Waterpik, silicone earplugs to use as wax, ortho floss picks, interdental brushes, etc. When I got my teeth back on track I also bought electric toothbrush, xylitol products, dental kit with mirror, etc. Those aren't directly related to braces but still helpful
