I got my braces 2 weeks ago at age 26, I should have them off by my 28th birthday!

I was 59 when I had my braces put on. I just had my 60th birthday and have 2 more months to go.
My daughter and I inherited small mouths and too many teeth from my Mom. Daughter's teeth were braced for 3 years while in HS. She is 4 years out of braces and has a GORGEOUS smile. The ortho did such a good job I decided to take the plunge for my teeth.

I had one tooth extraction and the bottom braces went on 3 days later. They are silver brackets. In December the top brackets, which are tooth enamel colored went on. Adjustments are about every 3 weeks. Some adjustments are worse than others. The image that keeps me going is my daughter's smile.

+\+ Ahh.. the sands of time. Seems we are getting older and older, aren't we folks !!??

Braces on at 54, I am 11 months in and retiring at the end of the year BEFORE braces come off.

It's OK....... hasn't been a bad trip at all. +\+

I got mine right after my 51st birthday and had them removed recently at 52. I began to experience some crowding in my anterior teeth that affected my bite and I didn't like it but did nothing about it except a couple of complaints. My wife made an appointment for an Invisalign Consult afterwhich I was shocked when the Ortho recommended braces. I didn't think that was something that I wanted to do, but I did and actually enjoyed the process while having a great experience.

I am 33 and just got braces. I wish that I would have done it 10 years ago!

I got my braces at 49 and my son at 14. We decided to go through this together. At least he can't say I don't understand what he is going through.
