I have an album too called 'teeth' becky haha! It's weird how obsessed u get with all things teeth isn't it, loads of pics, googling everything ...
Some people have to wear the clear reatainer like 24/7 for 6 months I've read. Seems like everyone gets diff instructions. I wouldn't mind tho if it's easier to wear/talk.

Haha Claire in trying to get my best friend to get one! She's looking at Invisalign and I said after the pure clinic drama you're better just going somewhere u know is trustworthy! Plus she could need that for up to 18 months, I'm like why would u have that when IA is so short!! Xx

I used to use Crest strips to whiten my teeth but don't use them any more because I heard they are really bad for your teeth. I think they look whiter in pictures than what they actually are though! I am still going to get whitening because my teeth are stained in some areas where they used to be crossed over which is annoying!

Yeah I've used them before but not for very long. My sister had a brace years ago an she said the same - where they were overlapped they will need whitening. Defo worth getting them done though after a brace.
I'm worried my tooth that was pretty straight is now becoming crooked. One of the front overlapped the other which was pretty straight. Not sure whether it's always actually been crooked but u couldn't tell while it was more covered. :(

I think it probably looks different now because the other one is starting to uncover it :) when do you go in for your first review? My only gripe with our dentist is I feel that he could have done more regular reviews like beckies dentist. She went every 2 weeks x

30th June! He said I don't need to go back for a month. I reckon that's why it's cheap cos there's not much for them to do, just see u once a month. So u get what u pay for I guess. In fairness when I rang yday he said if I still don't think it feels right this wkend and its unbearable he will see me Monday. I don't know whether I'm just a wimp tho haha don't wanna be a nuicanse. I do feel like a month between appts is a lot tho cos If something does need adjusting /fixing/ not wearing it right then that's a long time lost wearing it for no good. Or worse, causing more damage xx

Aww Claire I bet you are so happy that they are finally in place. Your perseverance finally paid off! Are u only back in 2 weeks now? You will have to try and wear it a bit more now so that they stay in that position!

Danni your teeth look loads better than they did when you first started! You must be chuffed. Don't worry about things moving around, they will end up straight in the end. The time will fly by. It certainly has for me.

I'm on day 24 of whitening. It's slow progress! Apparently I'm now at shade B1 (below). I started at C1 so there is a big improvement. I wanna get on the American whitening scale so they look as white as Simon Cowell and Rylan! Haha.
Claire, I wanted to try them crest strips would u not recommend them then?

Xx

Yeah I'm chuffed with the one next to my front tooth which has moved completely back to align with canine (can't tell so much on pic cos of composite blob on the front of it)
I thought that too - maybe they just Move all over the place as part of the process then end up straight.
I know what u mean about wanting a rylan smile haha. Although yours look perfectly white already but if u have more whitening stuff u may as well carry on an get the Simon cowell look. Is the at-home whitening easy enough to do? Xx

Yeah I had zoom whitening which is the personalised trays you put gel in. Then I got a tube of enlighten. And now I'm back on zoom. Once u have the trays u just nip back to the dentist for some more gel. It's great :)

Wow Claire and becki your teeth look amazing.
I am on week 7 now and had lots of movement in mine and now waiting for a retainer to use whilst my IA gets sent back so they can remove the power chain and put on the labial bow which I get on Tuesday. I am actually dreading it as I have only just got used to talking and now I am go get my thin elastic power chain removed for the (what looks like) thick bar. I have just one more tooth to rotate slightly and slot in then I am finished. I have only had to turn my aligner 4 times and I am not going to turn it anymore which I thought was a bit strange and not read anyone else with a similar story. I have to have my teeth shaped still as one of my front teeth is now a lot longer than the other where it was crossed over so much but all in all its been a good experience and I see my dentist every 2 weeks for any filing or composite blobs which I have 4 of at the moment and apparently need a couple more when I start the final phase.

Hi jenna

Dont worry about the shaping. I had exactly the same problem, one of my front teeth was linger than the other. Feels like the dentist shapes it down for ages but it's great in the end.

I have seen that some people's aligners had the slacker strip at the front. Mine came with the thicker plastic in the first place. It's fine. At least you will be done soon! It's all very exciting isn't it - seeing everything moving in to place. Xx

I had my Inma aligner fitted yesterday, it's quite intrusive and I am lisping a lot at the moment but hope this will improve (very) soon! It actually is less painful with the aligner in than when I remove it to eat or clean teeth so assume it's in right and working!
