so the first time I had braces I had fun with it.... I had wild colors for the season...ya know, red white and bluefor the 4th and green and red for christmas... but this time I am getting the damon braces and she said they dont require them. How boring is that? What's a girl to do? At first Iimagined all white or silver to match the braces, but now I am kind of sad I can't get pinks or lt blues... boring.

I get my braces very soon and think I will just go with silver or smoke to begin with BUT once i am used to them I really like the look of the baby pink and baby blue :) just not sure how they would go with staining from drinking coffee or eating tomato based pasta!

But I am willing to give it a go :-*

I was curious about this too. I heard some colors make your teeth appear yellow, and some make them whiter. I definitley want the colors that make me look like I have a whiter smile!! At first I was going to just get the plain old grey/silver/smoke colored bands...and then I thought if a color would make them whiter, why not? I get my braces on on May 8th and hope I figure out what color I want before then.

I went with Silver to begin with :) i just got my braces last week! (bottom ones yesterday). I think I will try baby pink next, I like the look of that and I think it would make your teeth look white and also go well with my skin tone and lips :)

baby pink and baby blue are my top two colors that I plan on getting. Pretty sure I'm going to try baby blue first since I've heard a lot of people say it makes your teeth look whiter. My teeth aren't the whitest to start off with, so any colors that will give the illusion of whiter teeth I'll put on my list.

GO FOR IT!!!! I'm an attorney and I'm thinking of doing blue. And I will have to talk to citizens every day! You only live once. And who cares if anyone has anything to say about it.

i have white brackets to when my braces were first put, they automatically did the clear. they didn't discolor, but as i've gotten comfortable with my braces i'm feeling a little braver. i was just in to have a bracket replaced, and the hygenist meantioned that she saw faith hill with light pink bands and they looked really cute. i wasn't ready for anything super bright, but i'm really happy with the lavender. i think it actually breaks the silver of the arch wire up a little bit.

on the topic of colors, i've heard that black is a very bad idea, it looks like cavieties.

Not very manly but I do like the purple I have on the bottom. Didn't think I would at first.
