I just got braced on Tuesday. I got:
-a container of wax
-a toothbrush with an interdental brush on the end
-floss
-floss threaders
-A zipper travel pouch that contains:
--another container of wax
--a travel toothbrush
--more floss
--more floss threaders
--a little dental mirror
--a travel interdental brush
And my favorite thing....
-a Sonicare Toothbrush (score!)
They said if I ever run out of anything to just ask for more. Pretty nice!

stuff i got
I got a water bottle, a little brush for cleaning under the wire, a v-shaped travel toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste, floss and floss threaders, a no-no list and a photo of what happens when ppl w/ braces don't take care of their teeth. I cant remember if he gave me wax or not.

I think you might be right!crazybeautiful wrote:All I got was some wax and a soft-bristled brush.
Is it safe to assume that UK orthodontists/ the NHS don't seem particularly bothered about incentives or gifts? It sucks; I really want a T-shirt!
I just got a wee tub of wax too. I even asked fi they ahd the special brushes for brushing inbetween brackets and was told that I could get some from Boots!
I have an appointment with the hygienist next week so going to see if she has anything (she gave me a tooth brush, interdental brushes and some disclosing tablets last time I saw her!)

* Orthodontic Toothbrush
