Today my top braces were removed. They arent as perfect as I was hoping for but they were finished for free so I guess I can be too picky. I was givin a retainer. The only thing I was told about it was that I would have to wear in for a year! The first 6 months 24-7 and the last 6 months only to bed. And Im not to take them out unless Im brushing my teeth but Ive already taken it out once to eat. Im scared of bending the wire thats across the front of my teeth.
Other than that I dont know how Im supposed to clean it or anything. I go back December 15th so hopefully I will find out what hes going to do with my bottom teeth.. I just dont see how this retainer is going to keep my teeth in place. It feels very flimsy! Anyone notice that?
Here are some pictures! One with the retainer and one without!
Your teeth look really good! I bet your pleased your comming to the end of your journey, how does it feel to be able to touch your teeth with your tounge without feeling metal?
Well things arent looking as good as they were. My top teeth are starting to gap and my too front teeth are coming forward. This retainer isnt doing a darn thing I think. The only time I take it out is to brush and eat and have an occasional cigarette. (Im trying to quit). My braces were taken off too soon. I cant really complain because what he done he did for free basically.
As soon as I get some bills paid off and hopefully find a better job I am going to go back to the orthodontist I had a consult with not too long ago. So it will be another 2 years or so that I am in braces. Depending on when I can come up with enough money to go to this other ortho I will be 23 or 24 still in braces probably!
I will post some pictures of the gappage as soon as I get a chance!
