Thanks, all! I'm actually looking forward to my next adjustment (on the 19th)...It will have been 8 weeks this time. I can't wait to get alignment done so I can begin the next phase of perfecting my teeth/bite.

Until then....

Had another adjustment yesterday. They were all very impressed with the movement I've experienced. I got ride of the wire lacing on the bottom. My mouth hurts a bit still.
The bottom teeth still need a bit more straightening.

My teeth have been aligning. The bite is really off in the front. I wonder when and how they will fix the front bite.

I have an adjustment in a little over a week so hopefully all will go well!

hey Jenfire...Just read through your story...man your progress is amazing. I will be braced next monday and we have something in common I too have a crown on my upper front tooth actually the exact same one as yours. I feel good to know that having a crown wont interfere with progress of having a great smile. Im looking foward to your next update...Keep moving!

I had my adjustment a couple of weeks ago--no big changes. I just got a new wire on top (a little thicker) and kept the same one on the bottom. Lately, I have been really bothered by my braces (I am tired of dealing with them). I think I still have a long ways to go since I now have an open bite in the front. The alignment seems to be coming along--maybe they will give me some elastics soon to pull my teeth together more.

Anyway, here are some of my latest pics.

Thanks KK! The open bite in the front makes it very tough to bite into a sandwich! I am having an issue with my expander at the moment. On the right side, the metal is fitting very snugly to the gum. It almost seems like part of my gum is growing over it. It hurts a bit and was bleeding a few days ago. I am not sure if I should just live with it until my next appointment or if I should schedule an appointment in the interim to have it examined.

Jenfire,
I just got your post on my journal, and I CANNOT BELIEVE the progress you have made. WOW! I can only hope my teeth will make such a vast improvement! I agree that our bottom teeth look similar. Thanks for your feedback. Check out my post in a couple days and I should have pics up with the braces on. Good luck to you, and great job so far!

I just noticed that you guys had posted. Thanks so much! I am very happy about my progress so far. I have another adjustment in a week and I'm hoping that lower lateral straightens out a bit before then so I can get a tougher wire again on the lowers.

I have the exact same issue! I haven't had it checked out yet, but you can see what I mean if you take a look at my last pictures.[/b]

I'm excited about my adjustment tomorrow morning. My ligs are all stained and yucky so I always look forward to them being changed. I'm really hoping that we begin dealing with this anterior open bite (it's not huge but still makes eating difficult).

I'll post updates when I get back from the appointment!

Cheers!
