Ok, so I'm new here but must say I love reading the boards - I find it very encouraging. I was braced with Damon 3's on June 26, 2006. My main concern is that the two teeth in between my front teeth and my canines on top are in crossbite - and are actually positioned behind my bottom row of teeth when I bite down. So for now only my top is braced and I'm wearing a bite guard on bottom to prevent my jaw from closing and snaping off the brackets above. I was told I probably wouldn't have to wear the bite guard for "very long". Well my next appointment isn't for 10 weeks! I hate the darn thing, I can hardly eat. Also, except for the first night, I've had no pain, and can see no change so far - I know it's only been two weeks - but doesn't the first week show the most result? I am getting discouraged that I'll go back in 10 weeks with hardly any change until I get a stronger wire and have to wear the bite guard for another 10 weeks! These appointments just seem too far apart to yeild any results!
