Second set- severe pain

I received my second set of aligners today and they are MUCH tighter than the first. I just put them back in after dinner and they hurt so much I'm about to cry! Do they generally get tighter and tighter, and more and more painful, each time you get a new tray? The first set didn't hurt at all, ahhh

I think u will find that post people experience this I think they do this on purpose so people are not going to give up at the 1st hurdle

Some hurt the first few days, some don't. There all tight but I guess certain aligners move teeth more than others, I'm not sure. Don't worry, the pain will subside.

Hi Coco,

I am only on my 3rd set (as of today). The first ones did not hurt too badly (other than tongue damage!!) and although the second ones felt a lot tighter, they did not hurt too badly either. The third set I put in today at the dentists office, and they are really tight again - I'm sure they feel even tighter than the 2nd set. So far they don't hurt too much, although I did take them out to eat dinner, and when I put them back in later on, my teeth were very tender. This 3rd set is scratching my tongue worse than the 1st set though (the 2nd set did not scratch at all).

I started my second set last night and they're so much tighter than my first set! OMG! I remember my lower teeth being the most sore with my first set. This time, it's my upper that's extremely sore...especially on the right side. Man, I hope I get used to this.

u will trust me, in the end u will learn to love the 1st time u put them in and find the end of the 2nd week drags
