What Oral surgeons say

#1 Post by john21 »

I am making this post, cause i want to know your opinions from what your oral surgeon told you before the surgery. The one i visited, when i asked him about complications,he mentioned swelling and numbness.nothing else.i also was wondering, the very rare compliccations, which many of us have read on the many articles we find on the net, happen nowdays?i mean,TMJ can be damaged by BSSO?Isnt the area operated away from TMJ?Or the relapse isn't avoided with titanium screws?Do they tell all truth to patients,or no?

My oral surgeon told me what teeth he'd be removing and the risk of nerve damage to teeth. It is a very small risk, so nothing to be nervous about. Basically, he told me everything that was covered in a booklet he gave me to read. And I still got charged $70. I'm thinking of changing professions...
