Hi!
I am currently on the long road to getting dental implants. Some back story first: I am 23 years old and due to genetics, do not have several upper adult teeth (5 to be exact). About a year ago, these 5 baby teeth were pulled, as they were beginning to get very loose, and I was given a partial denture. The denture has caused my front teeth to move forward, and has prompted me to receive orthodontic treatment. I am in the process of beginning to start my implant treatment (I must get the ortho treatment first to move teeth and receive a sinus lift). My question is...my ortho said I would still be able to use invisalign. I would just take the aligners out and replace them with a partial that was a little loose/had space to anticipate for the movement of the teeth that the aligners caused...i was just wondering if invisalign would be worth it, or would i be able to have my partial and regular braces (which seem like it might be less of a hassle with the partial). I obviously would love to be able to have the invisalign so no one would know that i have braces (since i am only 23), but I just wanted to hear some other's opinions. FYI-my ortho plans on filling the spaces in the invisalign trays where the missing teeth are with a white substance, that he says will look even better than the teeth i have on the partial at the moment.
I appreciate your thoughts, comments, opinions.
Thanks!
