This is the place to post general questions and comments about all areas of orthodontic treatment. Before you post a question, use the forum's SEARCH tool to see if your question has already been answered!
New Members: YOU MUST MAKE A POST WITHIN 24 HOURS OF REGISTERING OR YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED. In other words, don't sign up unless you plan to actively participate in the message board immediately. This is necessary to keep out spammers and lurkers with bad intentions. Of course, you can read most forums on the board without registering.
DO NOT POST FULL-FACE PHOTOS or personal contact information on this website. We have had problems with people re-posting members' photos on fetish websites. Please only post photos of your teeth, not your whole face. Keep your email and your personal information private. Thank you.

Elle, Lynn is having trouble with the database right now and some people are unable to edit their profiles or signatures. She has also disabled the edit function temporarily because of the recent problems with people posting pictures of AW members where they shouldn't.
Hi Elle you can't update your profile (your signature, and avatar) because with the lasted upgrade of phpbb (the board software) some code may have gone missing. They're not sure what the problem is right now, they're still investigating. See the Board Bug Report's for more details.
You can't edit posts right now because Lynn, the board administrator has disabled it temporarily. She has promised us it will be back soon.
Nice pics by the way. As to a closing wire, I'm not sure. Sorry.
There is issues with benig able to edit your signitures at the moment and Lynn along with myself trying to help lynn out with the situation no one can edit there signitures.
As for editing posts, Lynn disabled that temporarly due to some issues with a few members.

Great looking chompers, girl!
If you don't have gaps that need closing (and it appears that you don't) perhaps the closing wire is to close your bite?
Ask your ortho.
If you close your teeth, and the molars aren't touching correctly when your front teeth meet, or vice versa (that your front teeth don't touch when your molars meet), you may have an open bite that needs a bit of adjusting.
It's not just the arch line that's getting fixed - the teeth may require leveling and bite adjustment too.
When you find out from your ortho, please post!
Best wishes!
