Hi there, if you have a look on my blog, which has the url in my signature below, there is a whole section on attachments. It shows pictures, as well as descriptions. Essentially they are blobs glued to your teeth to help you aligners grip.

Hope this helps

Attachments are the worst thing in the world when you first get them, but you get used to them and wont really care about them soon after.

I strongly urge you get yourself an aligner hook BEFORE you get attachments fitted. This will make your life MUCH easier and save you hurting yourself. I am not sure i am allowed to link to a product site, but frankly these things are such damn life savers that everyone needs to know about them

Get these from whatever place you can in your own country, or via Arch Wired if they sell them.

I stick the hook down the groove between my pre molars on the side that has the least attachments and then the hook pulls the aligner away from the tooth and over the attachments. This is not the way Invisalign recommends you remove them, but the way they instruct causes my aligners to crack.
