bonded retainers

hey guys! hope you're all well!

so i finished my initial treatment and im now on my refinements, not perfect still but hey, they're a hell of a lot better than they were! (il post pics up when im totally done, just 4 more months!)

anyways my ortho told me on my last visit that ill be getting a bonded retainer top and bottom

i was just wondering if anyone has any opinions on them, are they better than other retainers? or worse? also i want to whiten my teeth after and was planning on using my last aligners to do so, will they still fit over my teeth with the bonded retainer?

and finally, i have a chip in the back of my left bottom canine (not sure if that the technical name but i hope you get what i mean!) anyway its on the left hand side of the tooth and right in the middle (vertically) just wondering if i'll have to get this filled BEFORE the bonded retainer?

any help would be appreciated!
