3rd month of treatment in Damon Braces - pics incl.

#1 Post by Wheellug »

I have wanted braces for many years but was 12 years ago that I would need to jaw surger. So I was very happy that there is newer technology that allows people like me to have braces and correct my bite without the surgery!

On Feb 25, 2009 at age 40 I got my upper braces on.

Two months later when there was more room I had my lower ones put on. My sentence is 28 months but hopefully from reading many messages it might be faster if I stick with the program religiously! My ortho already noticed that my upper palate is wider!

I am very pleased about the progress but I still cannot get used to the feel of them in my mouth. I constantly play with the braces pushing my teeth with other teeth. Sometimes I feel that the only time I like is bedtime so I won't notice them anymore.
