and the speech is getting better, as is the saliva but it's not gone completely and I find my self needing to still suck it from the trays and swallow alot. It's not bad when I'm not talking, but when I talk I need to stop every few sentences and get rid of the spit - which makes it fairly obvious that something is going on.
No one has noticed them in, but a few co-workers can tell the difference in my speech or they notice me doing the little suck/swallow routine. So that's a little bothersome because I'm sure customers/clients notice too.
I still have some random rubbing issues - some days my tongue will be sore - i'm guessing that overnight it's rubbing while i'm sleeping. Some days it'll dig into my cheeks more, etc.
I'm glad he didnt' have me doing 2 week trays. Just for the heck of it I tried to see if they fit and the bottom one will go on but it's super tight. The top I couldn't get on at all, in fact the aligner wasn't even matching up with my teeth from my eye tooth back on the right side. I'm assuming that some movement of my more forward teeth is needed. When I put it up to my current aligner it is the same shape, but once I have it over my front teeth and went to push the back on it was "out of shape" for lack of a better term. I surely hope that one more week gets them where they need to be for it to fit!
I'm guessing it's normal for it not to fit if my teeth haven't moved all the way yet - which since my top aligner I can still feel pressure with when I first put it back in after a meal, it still has some work to do. I've been averaging 21-22 hours wear time a day.
Since I only have one week left I'm experimenting with drinking my coffee with them in and see how discolored they get. I usually let my coffee cool before drinking and can't drink it steaming hot like some people can. I typically have them out for the 20-30 mins at work for my morning coffee and my english muffin I have on morning break. If the coffee doesn't stain, I can drink part of my coffee up until break then take them out to finish it up with my english muffin and get 10-15 mins back to my wear time.
I think all in all not doing bad for only 2 weeks in.
Well 2 weeks in....

I drink a ton of luke warm coffee and red wine with my tray in almost every single day for 2 trays.
I've just finished tray 2 and as long as I brush it and my teeth after the coffee and wine and there is no clear staining.
It definitely looks less clear than a brand new aligner, but others have said that this is normal even if they drink only water.
