I just got my upper braces on yesterday. I walked out of the orthodontist office smiling, and haven't stopped! I have Damon metals and they don't look bad at all.
It didn't hurt at all either, just some pressure. Although, towards the end of the day yesterday my teeth started to ache a little bit. Today is about the same. It hurts more when I chew on something, and when I floss! Flossing is a pain in the butt. BUT the pain is not bad at all. I don't feel like I need to take any pain medication or anything like that. It actually feels like when you have eaten some chewy meat and have some of it stuck between your teeth. Or when you bite into a peach. Like your teeth are "itchy" or something. I know that sounds strange!
Anyway, it's been a day and I'm loving my braces so far
that's so funny that you say your teeth are itchy. I was trying to explain to someone the other day what that feeling was and I just couldn't find the right word... itchy that's it. haha well congrats on getting your braces.
