I have class 3 malocclusion due to a cleft palate repair which made my maxilla unable to grow correctly. Im at the start of my journey, need Sarpe then bimax and a genioplasty.
I have a very large chin, and I mean very large, especially as the distance between my nose and top lip in very small, which makes my chin look larger. Anyway, I wondered how much genioplasty can shorten your chin by? Does BSSO change how long your chin looks?
Also, will my mouth look any wider following the surgery? Its very small at the moment.
How much change do people usually see from the face-on view following this kind of surgery? In my opinion I do look stange as my face sort of caves in in the middle and my mandible is very long and sticks out a huge amount. I also seem to have a very fleshy face around my cheeks.
