When do my teeth start moving?

#1 Post by joe984934 »

So today I got my spacers out and my anchors and wires in. Will my teeth start shifting soon? I wasn't told anything about it and I didn't have a chance to ask my orthodontist. I'm not sure about the process...somebody with experience please explain what I'm looking forward to :) I'm basically just curious how soon my teeth will start shifting. I am supposed to be in braces for 2 years..I'm having jaw surgery next year a year before my braces come off.

I am hoping someone comes along to offer input. I just got mine put on Tuesday and still have the spacers in. Funny enough I can already tell my bite is off on the left side.

I could tell my teeth had begun to move in only a few days. It was pretty amazing!

Okay now I am convinced at least one of my teeth has moved on my bottom row. Because I am seeing a new surface of the side of a tooth I have never seen before. That tooth was crooked and it's side was right up against another tooth. I looked in my mouth last night and was like what is that on the side of my tooth  :D It's moved laterally to begin moving in line and closer to a midline position.

Still in a hell of a lot of pain but at least seeing minimal progress at this point does affirm in my mind I did something positive about my oral health.

reason i say that is there a few places where i couldnt get the floss in but now i can.

but nothing real noticable yet. only been a week for me. patience patience patience. of course i know we are constantly looking at our teeth every minute of the day checking for changes, right ???

I noticed that there is a space (after about 3 weeks) between two of my teeth that used to be close to overlapping, but now my mom says I look weird. I'm hoping that the space will close later, but I didn't appreciate her comment!
