retainer's and new year's eve

if you're supose to wear your retainer night time only,then what about new year's eve? what will you do?

i was thinking to wear it during the day, leave it at home and then wear it the next day, will that be alright? i really don't wanna spend the night with essix in my mouth

Give yourself a break and don't obsess over it. Wear it during the day and enjoy the evening and the arrival of the new year. You deserve to not have to worry!!!

I would just put your retainers on when you get home from the festivities. If it makes you feel better, try to wear them before you head out for the night. It is hard not to obsess wearing the retainers because we obsessed over the braces. Don't worry and have a wonderful time!

I'm usually in bed before 10:00 PM anyhow, so this won't be an issue for me
