First day of wearing inman aligner

#1 Post by becpz »

Firstly, i'm so glad to have found this site, i've read a few pages and it is really encouraging. I had my aligner fitted yesterday and without sounding really vain, l hate the look of it. It is really bulky looking and more or less looks like i'm wearing a gum shield. I am lisping quite badly but hoping this will get better. I'm concerned also that it is not going to fit in with my job. Has anyone else had similar experiences?! I know l have an expander on my aligner but not sure which one it is - it has a bar of clear acrylic accross the front top. I'm hoping to post photos at some point.

Just think of it as a faster and when needed removable way to straighten. I am currently trying to find a dentist to get the IA. I don't want braces again but do want straight teeth. I'm sure the IA is unforfortable at least at first but, what else can give you straight teeth in months? Hang in there!
