OMG I wish I had purchased one before the surgery life would have been much better.
I still have 3 weeks on liquids and soft foods (no chewing) and I made a smoothie with one today. SOOooo much better than the blender.

I agree wholeheartedly. At risk of sounding like an advertisement, it's just so quick to use and the clean up is much easier (ie. you can make four, five, six shakes with all the blender cups they provide before throwing them all in the dishwasher). And, as a wired-shut survivor, I can attest the output is better than with my blender - it required less straining to get past my splint.

Re: Magic Bullet
I agree with Ryan...I had a Magic Bullet and HATED it, I just couldn't get things blended well enough...I STILL wish I had sprung for the Vitamix!
Re: Magic Bullet
I am so glad my dad had an extra Vitamix that I borrowed. That sucker can blend anything. I have yet to try throwing a full steak dinner in there but I'm pretty sure it could meet the challenge.
