Ormco Z-pak game

#1 Post by NiTirannosaurus »

Ok, I thought of a fun game we could try. I'm sure some of you are familiar with the Ormco Z-pak elastics with the animals on them. The game is to see who has had the most variety of animals throughout their treatment! 1 point for each different type. I'll start:)

Quails
Foxes
Moose
Kangaroo
Zebra

I also had a couple of bags of Camels, but those were given to me by accident, and I returned them for the Mooses I was supposed to get at the time. 5 points for me, although I doubt I will get more than that at this point.

By the way, the Zebra in the picture looks pretty deranged. There's someting not right about that Zebra...its eyes have kind of a glassy, mindless stare.

That cracked me up! Another member here posted a while ago about her "Angry Rams". I've been in elastics since January, but mine weren't by Ormco (I think they were by Rainforest), and my initial ones were Jaguars. Last month my ortho gave me new ones, but they looked like a generic company (Henry Schein)... no animals. :( They've always been the same size (1/4") and strength (X-Heavy).

Cute post...

I've only had braces for a couple of months--I still have Quail--and they are loose now!! My 1st adjustment is in 2 weeks, so I think it's probably graduation time...

Well, maybe we should open the game up to all elastics, even if they don't have cool animals on them;).

I just got new ones today - The brand is "Xtreme Elastics" and has various pics of extreme sports on it. My current one is Waterskiing (3/8", 6 oz., X-Heavy Force).

I have had:

Camel
Kangaroo
Bear
Zebra

Not sure what else I'll get, only about 8 months into treatment for open bite. He's also trying to get me into a good overjet position and close up a lot of the gaps, which are both coming along quite nicely!
