The end is near.

#1 Post by blackapple »

I'm very excited now as my ortho told me yesterday I'm in the final stretch with closing up a few little existing spaces and with the way my teeth are progressing the braces will be coming off before the end of the year. I have been back in powerchains for the last mouth. I was initially told 24 months in braces but shocked it will be less than that. I've been in braces for 13 months. I am very pleased with my teeth and beautiful symmetric smile. My confidence level is at an all time high.

I'm very nervous though to have my braces taken off. Scared and anxious about my teeth shifting back. I can't go back to how my teeth were before treatment. I was told a permanent retainer will be placed. Is it customary to get a removable one too?

Hey! Congrats on being in the home stretch! I too am there as well. They have booked me one more regular appointment and I have my removal date set for Dec 12!

I will be getting a removable hawley on top and a permanent on bottom. But I'm going to ask that they make me a bottom hawley as well. I'm a bit scared too, but I'm more excited than anything :)

I can't wait to hear when you get your date!
