to much IPR?

to much IPR?
I had IPR done before getting the braces (beginning of Dec 2011) and I'm afraid the dentist exaggerated "a bit" on the lower jaw, especially since from my point of view my teeth were quite well aligned and there was not even a need for braces there...now I have big gaps (one I think of around 2mm) between my teeth, will this be repaired?

WOW! Ive had IPR done in my entire mouth and it was never that bad. Despite having a lot of IPR done theres is NO gaps at ALL. Sounds like your dentist/ortho did too much. I think you should either get bonding or vaneers.

Do you not have braces on the bottom at all ?
If not, definitely speak to your ortho next time you go in to discuss it and put your mind at ease before you start booking yourself in for veneers...

Yes, I have braces on lower jaw as well, but a bracket is loose for some weeks now and I'll only have the appointment in some days, so there has been more or less no movement on that side since the IPR. I'm quite worried now about the upper jaw, where the real crowding problems are
And no, no way I paid so much to have my teeth ruined and to have to pay for veneers afterwards.

Yeah it can frustrating you could always Sue the orthodontist. Sounds like he needs to be sued.
