Hello!

Well, I used to be a constant lurker on this forum since i got my (fully metal) braces on, which was on the 14th of September! It's gonna be a month fast and I have my first adjustment on the 12th of oct! :)

I was just wondering, because I honestly haven't been a dental hygienic-kinda person before going to the ortho, my ortho told me i have a gum problem and i've been a little worried over it (late, i know).. she mentioned i have gum disease, however looking over at the symptoms and photos of people with gum disease, i really dont think mine is all that serious, but i'm still a little concerned for this. I'm planning to ask my ortho when i go in for my next appt, but still, any idea from you guys?

Also, i have got light blue ones on, any suggestions for colour? :P

Hi and congrats on getting your braces. It's a topic on here that may help you out with the lig colors. In the search box just type in lig colors and its a topic that's like 90 pages long with lig colors that members have posted. When I first got mine I did aqua then pink on top and lime green on the bottom then I went with red and now I have the aqua and pink alternating on each bracket. You can check out my story and see how they look. I'm back to the ortho next week and have to figure out what color I will be getting!

I know, I've visited the topic on your sugegstion and I'm now a proud wearer of dark purple, since I thought of going all magicky-purple for halloween instead of the usual orange and black i've seen around!
