Hi Everyone
I have a question : Do braces affect your natural growth, considering the fact that i am a teenager and i am in braces? If so, is it favourable or adverse?
Also, now that i have braces, will my mandible continue to grow out to its proper genetic potential?
This is a good question but I don't think you need to worry- I'm 23 now and have had my braces on for only 9 months. My jaw actually grew crooked because of an uncorrected crossbite issue. So because I DIDN'T get braces when I was younger, my jaw grew longer on one side and has left me with a slightly asymmetrical face and a clicking jaw. I'm jealous of everyone who got them as a teen!
