Scared to get braces off....kinda

So my next ortho app is tomorrow...I believe that my ortho is going to talk to me about a debanding date...which is VERY exciting, but at the same time, I am nervous that my teeth aren't ready to have them removed.... My teeth look awesome, there is just a few places that just don't seem to be moving accordingly......

When I got my braces off at age 13 I cried the entire drive home as I felt so naked without my braces. There was an adjustment period. I'd discuss any concerns you have with the ortho as I'm sure he or she wants you to be happy at the end of the day.

Ya, I'm getting mine off in 61 days. And I'm concerned too. My next appt is March 26. Then another one on April 15, and they're off on April 22. March 26 is a ways off, but if my teeth are still looking concerning to me on about March 5th or so, I'm going to make an appt. to see if it's just me or really needs a little correction. I want them off on April 22!!!!!

I would say to make a specific list of the concerns regarding the teeth that aren't exactly where you want them yet. If it isn't the right time to remove them then don't. In my opinion, it would be more worthwhile to keep them on a few more weeks and tweek those final teeth a bit more then to remove them and not be 100% happy with your smile.
