Power chain pain, botheration

#1 Post by boodles8 »

I'm OVER these power chains! I had them placed Tuesday, and my poor toothies still hurt! At least we're doing something after a long time of delays.

It does get better in a day or two, but yes, they are orthodontic tools of torture.

I only have a powerchain across the bottom front 6, but I can assure you it gets better after a while. It's like all the other torture devices they put into our mouths :)

I have them top 6 and bottom 6 at the moment, but found them less painful than a wire change!
Maybe mine are just baby powerchains and the big ones are coming.

I've had full upper and full lower power chains for the past few months. It's not so bad, it's usually only painful for the first couple days. I think putting in a new thicker wire is much worse.
Just avoid flossing for the first couple days after getting a new power chain in.

I am the only weirdo on here who loves getting new powerchains. I love the tightness and pressure feeling. :P

Hahaha. Me too Sunshineray! I've had powerchains and elastics almost the whole way through. Now I feel naked without them!
