Newbie :)

#1 Post by bettedavis »

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum :) . Got braces last month top and bottom and have had four teeth extracted also (that's been the worst part). Have been told my treatment will take two years, I've overbite and overjet and overcrowding to fix!! And I'm thirty two, from Ireland and getting married in a year :)

Just wondering if anyone could advise how long it might take before I start to notice some changes?

Thanks :)

hello :) i'm 30 and started my braces journey 3 months ago - I see noticable movement now, so i'd say between 2 and 3 months you should start to notice a difference. My teeth still look very messed up, but they getting there lol :) I take pics for easy comparison, as its hard to tell from just looking in the mirror at this stage :)

Hello :-1 I can't help you with how quickly things move I'm afraid, (I don't get braced until Thursday) but wanted to introduce myself, I'm also 32, just had 4 extractions (glad to hear that's the worst part...) and am getting married next year! Will you have your braces temporarily removed for the wedding? Or are you going to rock them on your wedding day? my ortho is taking mine off and then putting them back on afterwards. She assures me that my teeth will be looking great by then anyway and it will just be a case of closing the gaps at that point.

Good luck with your journey :-* :-* :-*
